Soul Tide is an indie rock band composed of two jazz musicians, a punk rocker, and a choir boy based out of Santa Barbara, California. Despite the musicians' varied backgrounds, the band's chemistry cannot be understated. The upbeat, jazzy energy will make you dance, sing, and cry with pleasure. If you like music in some capacity, Soul Tide guarantees a quality experience.

Soul Tide is best experienced in person. When you attend a show, you are delivered original songs spanning genres such as alternative, punk, Latin, funk, and progressive. Aside from listening, you can look at the band, too. No matter who you stare at, you will see pure energy and passion bursting out of each member at all times.

The band can often be found playing at venues in Santa Barbara, Goleta, and Isla Vista. Seek higher ground and take a listen. The tide's coming in, so get ready!

David Sun - Guitar

Steven sang in his high school choir for years, but a rock band turned out to be more his speed. After getting a taste of the Isla Vista music scene, he set a goal to start a band at all costs, and Soul Tide was born. His hobbies include hiking, drawing, surfing, telling David he doesn't want to learn the bass guitar, and writing his own bio for the Soul Tide website. He sings pretty well, too.

Despite hailing from a punk band, David brings most of the indie feel to the band's music. His signature strumming and songwriting will be sure to have you bobbing up and down with him during a performance. David's one true love is music, and he can also play bass, drums, and even sing if you pay him. He enjoys watching a variety of sports and telling Steven he should learn bass guitar.

Connor Mclntosh- Drums

Connor has been a jazz drummer for over ten years, and his skill needs to be seen to be believed. He's an absolute beast, and he can create a completely original and catchy track in less than a minute Connor graduated with a degree in engineering in 2022 from UCSB, but he was able to stick around Santa Barbara and grace the area with his raw genius. His two loves are funk and football.

Jacob Robledo - Guitar

If guitar was a language, Jacob would be fluent in it. When he's in his element, the solos he plucks out can make you feel new emotions. Jacob is also a part of the Gaucho Pep band where he plays trombone, and he always suggests new songs for Soul Tide that could let him add a little brass twang. In case music doesn't work out, he currently studies political science and plans to go into law.
